SHOW DESCRIPTION
‘¿Hablas Inglés?’ follows the emotional adventures & hilarious mishaps of a vagabond comedian on a remarkable tour as he became the world’s first person to perform English speaking stand-up comedy in several countries that’ve never before had it, but that’s not the interesting part...
On an epic journey through Central and South America, Marcus Ryan encountered more than he bargained for! He was defrauded, robbed, arrested, held up at knife point, attacked, bribed & made bribes! Caught up in riot(s). Earthquake(s). Political protest(s). All plural! Drug smuggling & illegal border crossings, love, sex & prostitution. He hitchhiked, slept on the streets, climbed volcanoes & surfed down them! Came close to death, witnessed death, found fame at the Olympic Games in Rio and even learnt a language! Sort of.
WHAT MARCUS SAYS
“I took Ayahuasca & San Pedro on my "#journey" to find myself at Machu Picchu. I chased snakes, crocs & piranha yet only managed to catch a fever in the Amazon. I had a LOT of diarrhoea! I was homesick and lonely, but none of it compares to the torture of sleeping on the top bunk in a 20 bed party hostel with no hot water, fan or Wi-Fi. The horror! Was it all worth it? Most definitely! I met some weird & wonderful characters I'd like to introduce to you. I left with a beard, a debt & some bloody great stories! I invested a year & a half of my life. I think it's worth an hour of yours."
